Three MDU students suspended for mental and physical intimidation

Taking a serious view of incident of misconduct and mental and physical intimidation of two junior students of IMSAR (Institute of Management Studies & Research), the Vice Chancellor of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, Dr. R.P. Hooda, has suspended three students with immediate effect by exercising powers under the provisions of Statute-39 of the MDU Act in this connection. The entry of suspended studentsm, identified as Aman Redhu, Surender Bishnoi and Anil Dalal, into the University Campus has also been banned till further orders. Their rooms in the hostels have been got sealed. Further, orders have been passed for withholding the results of their last examination besides handing over the case to the MDU Proctor to get an enquiry into the matter made.The VC, Dr. Hooda, said act(s) of indiscipline and misconduct would not be tolerated on the campus, and strict disciplinary action would be taken against such delinquent students.Meanwhile, The VC has expelled the third student involved in the May 19- misbehavior with the girl student of Dept. of Law- incident. The student-Ravi Parkash (B.A.-I, DDE) has been expelled, his entry into University campus banned, and he has been debarred from taking admission in any course of the University, or its’ affiliated institution(s). Notably, the VC had earlier taken similar action against two students who were found involved in this act of grave misconduct. (EoM)
