-DNA of the head to be get done, say police

After a week-long efforts, the local police on Sunday succeeded in recovering head of a beheaded body from a dirty nullah flowing beside Inspector General of Police (IGP), Rohtak Range police, office cum residence here.
According to sources, the police has recovered the head following an information disclosed by an accused during interrogation. The accused, identified as Deepak Gehlout of Jodhpur (Rajasthan), has also revealed that his friend, Vikas, had committed the murder and stuffed the beheaded body in a gunny bad before dumping it head in the nullah. Interestingly, the police seem not to be in a mood to rely merely upon the statement of the accused as it had decided to get the DNA test done from Madhuban Forensic lab for medically confirmation.
Notably, the police had recovered a headless body of a youth from the sports complex at Sector-6 here a week ago. It was beheaded before it was dumped. Later, a woman had identified the body as her husband - Satish.
The police found that the victim had been residing at a rented accommodation on the circular road near the posh DLF Colony, which was suspected to be the spot of crime. The room was found to be having bloodstains and blood-drenched cloths, which revealed that the murder could have taken place there.
The police had also seized CDs, web camera, computers and other electronic gadgets, which led to an obvious conclusion that the place was being used for some kind of illegal activities. Rohtak DSP (Headquarter), Dalbir Singh, confirmed that head of the beheaded body had been recovered and it would be sent to forensic lab at Madhuban for DNA test.
“Vikas is the main accused in the case whose younger brother was beaten up by Satish. For taking revenge of the beating, Vikas murdered Satish. The police has launched a hunt to nab Vikas, who will be soon arrested,” said the DSP.. (EoM)
