Two students expelled forever from MDU for molesting girls

The Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, authorities have expelled permanently one student of Department of Law and another one of a local college from the university for allegedly molesting two girl students of the law department on Wednesday evening.
The order to this effect was issued by the MDU’s Vice Chancellor, Dr. R.P. Hooda, on Thrusday evening wherein it has been stated that the duo would not be able to appear in any examination to be conducted by the university in future.
Earlier, the local police arrested three students on charges of molesting the girls, wrongful restraint, criminal assault and criminal intimidationin. The accused have been identified as Sombir, student of the Department of Law of the Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Ashish Nandal and Ravi Prakash, both students of the local Jat college.
The police also impounded the car (HR-14C-4333) which was used by the accused in perpetrating the crime on the MDU campus on Wednesday evening when the trio allegedly molested two girl students of the law department of the university when they were going to their hostel after taking examination in the department.
A case under sections 323, 354, 342, 506 and 34 of the IPC was registered against the accused at the local Urban Estate police station on the complaint of one of the victims. Rohtak SSP Anil Kumar Rao said that the police team led by Urban Estate Police Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Hari Singh and PGIMS Police Post Incharge Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Uday Vir conducted raids and all the three accused in the case were arrested on Thursday, and the car used in the crime was also recovered.
The patrolling on the MDU campus had also been increased, Rao said, adding that police personnel, including women, in plain clothes had also been deployed near the colleges and the university to check eve teasing. Confirming the order of forever expulsion, Dr R.P Hooda, said no one would be spared if found molesting girl students on the campus.
