Cop caught cheating in exam, suspended, department inquiry ordered

Taking swift action on the complaint lodged by principal of Pt. Neki Ram Sharma College here, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Rohtak Range, V. Kamaraja, on Saturday, placed a Haryana police constable under suspended with immediate effect for allegedly misbehaving, manhandling with an assistant superintendent on duty and threatening him with dire consequence after being caught copying in the examination on Friday.
Speaking to PTI, the IGP, V. Kamaraja, said departmental inquiry had also been ordered against the cop besides constituting a committee that to investigate the matter thoroughly. No one would be spared who found to defame the name of Haryana police, he maintained. Notably, the constable identified as Yudhvir Singh of Sanghi, the native village of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, was taking annual examination of M.A. (History) when he was caught copying by assistant superintendent, Dr Satish Kumar, who was on duty of in room n. 19 of the examination centre (n. 514) set up by Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) in the college.
An unfair means case (UMC) was slapped on Yudhvir, who allegedly manhandled Dr Satish when the later tried to check him. Dr Satish had taken up the matter with the college principal, who forwarded it to the IGP.
